About Sensitive Guitars

Having been learning guitar for our entire life, we know the hurdles and challenges of beginners, bands and professional musicians. The digital and sensitive guitar we came up with, can simplify your life, too.

Putting an orange computing unit into guitars, the SensGuitar is able to perceive your interactions with the guitar, process digital information and adapt to your sensitivities.

With the Kickstarter campaign, we intend to realize the following:

  1. Integrate Community Feedback
We aim to create a community for next generation guitars and finalize SensGuitar components on the basis of your feedback.
  2. Release Open Source Components
We aim to release SensGuitar components under an Open Source license, so that the community created can individualize next generation guitars.

Based on the SensGuitar components plugging into each other in interactive harmony, your guitar will evolve spirally through components and support your needs throughout your entire musical life.

What makes Sensitive Guitars a unique solution among the houndreds of guitars

Digital Sound

Traditional analog audio signals are being integrated into the digitized world, which enables new forms of live signal processing, recording and music notation.

Modularity

Build your guitar step by step: Start with small kits and add components as needed. They will fit together perfectly. Even its software updates via Ethernet or over the air.

Over-The-Air Update

Enjoy the freedom of our over-the-air features. Whether software updates, downloading new songs, effect combinations, or backgrounds: configure the SensGuitar via web platform.

Colorful Displays

The first-time integration of high-resolution, colorful displays enables new forms of visualization, guitar learning and immediate feedback.

Compatibility

Environment protection is supported by the sustainable design: You can upgrage your custom device because newer components will perfectly fit to your current device.

Connectivity

Play together with your friends or let remote teachers have a look on your playing. Simply connet your SensGuitar through avaliable ports and make your music together.

Learning Devices

The SensGuitar supports your learning progress by adapting to your guitar playing. Even software applications can bring artificial intelligence to your device so that you both learn together.

Community Focus

Based on the community's feedback, the SensGuitar's components are evolutionary further developed. Participate yourself in the realization of next generation guitars.

Open Source Basis

Because of our orientation towards the community, the SensGuitar is Open Source, so that we can work together on building the best version of musik-related products.

Kickstarter Target Levels

The components of the SensGuitar will be 1) further developed on the basis of your feedback and 2) published under Open Source license, which is all in dependence on the target level achieved at Kickstarter. Timeline

Having started in 2017, the development of the first version of a SensGuitar has been realized in four agile iterations. Having focuses a proof of concept, we have learnt a lot and each iteration has improved previous artifacts step by step.  With your aid, we would love to finalize the SensGuitar and create a second version on the basis of your feedback.

Depending on the final target level, we intend to a) solicit your feedback, b) discuss ideas, c) revise current SensGuitar components, and d) release repositories as open source. Hopefully the next-generation-guitar community will adopt the ideas and the second version of the SensGuitar will be at the next level intended.

Purchase SensGuitar Components

In order to get started quickly and to be part of the development process, components of a first version of the SensGuitar already can be purchased at the shop presented. Please consider them as hobbyist goods without warranty.
